Carlyn Place Condominium is a 124-unit community located in North Arlington, Virginia

Built in 1961, the property consists of one eight-story building at the intersection of Old Dominion and Lorcom Lane and two garden-style buildings on Lee Highway between North Thomas Street and Woodstock/Lorcom Lane.

Carlyn Place is four miles from Washington, DC, a short bus ride to the Rossyln or Ballston Metro stations, and a block away from the restaurants and stores located at Lee Heights Shops

The one, two and three-bedroom units of Carlyn Place Condominium range from 658 to 1,277 square feet.

Community Room

A spacious community room is situated on the top of the eight-story Tower Building. It features floor to ceiling windows with views that stretch to our nation’s capital, a bar area with a stove, microwave, and full-sized refrigerator, as well as restrooms.

Exercise Facility

Carlyn Place features an updated exercise facility that contains free-weights, aerobic exercise equipment and stationary bikes. The facility also has a restroom with a shower.

Storage Areas

Each unit owner has a separate storage bin in lower-level of the building. In addition, the Association has racks for bike storage in one of the garden buildings.

The colorful awnings of Lee Heights Shops on Lee Highway welcome neighbors and visitors to a wide array of shopping and dining options. Walk down the brick sidewalks and browse for women’s clothes at Lemoncello, kids’ shoes at Bradshaw’s Children’s Shoes, furniture at Random Harvest, children’s toys at Child’s Play, needlepoint at Waste Knot or jewelry at Facets.

And you’ll want to sample some of the fine ethnic cuisine choices: Peruvian chicken at Crisp & Juicy or pizza at The Upper Crust Pizzeria.

Don’t forget about dessert! Try the mousse cake at Pastries by Randolph and get a cappuccino at Starbucks or a Flat White drink at Cassatt’s. Looking for the great outdoors? Lee Heights Park is a short walk away at 2400 North Taylor Street and is fun for kids. The park borders an off-street bike/pedestrian path, which connects to the Potomac Overlook Regional Park. Potomac Overlook offers 70 acres of peaceful woodland, trails, educational gardens, a small picnic area and a Nature Center. Carlyn Place is also less than a half-mile from Arlington’s extensive off-road bike trails.
